We went to the Halloweenie Roast in Paradise, UT with Seth's preschool and Optimus Prime was there with many other Halloween friends. It was an awesome display of spook.

Many Ways to Have Water Fun

In an effort to sort of review our summer I thought I'd gather pictures of us in the water or close to the water. The picture above is us at Cherry Hill. We've gone every summer for the past 4 summers. This year we went to celebrate cousin Ashton getting her cast off after having it on for 6 weeks during the heart of the summer.

We did an overnighter in Logan Canyon. I'd have to say that our family did more fishing this past summer then ever before. Tom smokes the trout in the smoker and it's so good.

California yes, pictures no

In July we took a wonderful trip to California. It's pretty close to Utah (11 hours by car, with a lunch stop in Vegas) and offers so many fun things to do. We did tons of things but I have no pictures because our camera was stolen in Primm, NV on our way home. We had stopped to shop the outlets and I swear I locked the car doors but apparently not because when we got back to the car our DVD player, DVD case and the diaper bag including our camera were gone. I was so bummed because we had taken some really, really cute pictures of us at the beach, Lego Land and Sea World. The picture below is one of the only pictures from the trip. Thank goodness Starla, my sis, was with us at Sea World and snapped this picture of the kids petting the dolphins.


Also contained in the diaper bag was our check book. Secretly I was hoping that the "stealers" as our children called them, would be kind enough to send us our camera by looking at our checks, getting our address off the checks, writing our address on a padded envelope and sending the camera to us. That didn't happen. :(

26.2 Baby!!

Tom did it, ran the big 26.2! We are so proud of him. He wanted to run the Top of Utah 1/2 marathon but it filled up before he registered so he decided to run the FULL marathon.

My sis and her husband also ran it~ Good job!

Sadie, Your Cuteness Only gets you so far

Sadie has been crawling for a solid month now. She's quick and does not take no for an answer. Sadie is a hefty 20 pounds and I've noticed that the older kids are starting to carry her to rooms where they are not playing and leaving her there so she won't mess up their toys and games. While the kids were playing with Legos in the living room they put Sadie in the boys room and shut the door. Yesterday Trey wanted me to put Sadie in her bed to sleep so she wouldn't wreck his loader game. Even I had to put her in our room with the door closed while I mopped the floor. The plight of a 9 month old. I hope she doesn't get a complex. We really do love you Sadie!

I have decided to keep blogging

Here we are! Our family. I have done some thinking about blogging this past 2 months (while I have been taking a break from blogging) and I have decided to keep blogging. I've debated whether it's a good use of time and I have decided it is. The number one reason is because I want to stay in touch with all of you even though I don't live close to you. I love seeing what you are up to and reading about what is on your mind. I love seeing pictures of your families. As we all have busy lives I think blogs are a great way to keep in touch. So I am going to assume that there are some people out there that want to know about us and what we are up to. Under that assumption, I'm going to keep blogging. I feel like I need to reconnect with many of you. This time I'm going to be better at posting like I used to be. I hope my sisters (all), our moms, friends, aunts, cousins will check us out from time to time. I'll do better so you will keep coming back!

Life As We Know It

Well folks it's about time I update the Blog. A few minor things have changed since I last blogged like we have moved. That is noteworthy. We live in lovely Cache Valley again. Nibley to be exact. It's so nice to be back. We have settled into this nice home next to Tom's brother and his family. We couldn't be happier. The kids are in love with the new place.

I need to get back on task and continue packing for our trip to California, we leave Monday! I'm very excited. My sis Starla from Indiana will be there visiting and we get to stay with my awesome Grama who lives in Long Beach. We have already had a great weekend with fireworks at the USU stadium last night. Happy 4th Everybody~!!

The Happy Bunch!

Life is full of wonderful times. Even though at the moment we have sick kids. Samantha caught something first and brought it home from school. She's better, but passed it on to Seth, who is doing quite well, and poor Trey is in the thick of it right now. He's sleeping on the couch in the same room as me so I can monitor him.

Today was pretty normal other then I pulled a fast one and slept in until 10:30 am, with a few interruptions. Sadie was up only once last night so I don't know why I was so tired. My body is probably trying to fight off whatever the kids have. I took the kids to the dollar store to buy rewards for filling their bean jars, by doing good works and listening. We rushed Samantha to school she was a minute late.

I ran my first 2 miles today as I'm training for another 1/2 marathon in April. I'm ready for this baby weight to be gone. We'll see if my body cooperates with me nursing and all.

Yesterday I got to help in Samantha's classroom. I enjoy seeing Samantha doing her kindergarten thing. Her classmates are so sweet too. Tom is awesome and comes home for lunch so I can do that.

The weather has been sunny. Yesterday we walked to the little park by our apt. The boys rode their bikes and I pushed Sadie in the stroller. I love that Trey can peddle a big wheel all by himself.

Last Saturday we went to "This is the place" monument park. We took the train ride around and got to tour Heber C. Kimball's home. Here is Tom and the kids on the train.

Just before bed Samantha asked if she could finish drawing a picture on the white board. She was drawing a girl with curly hair. She just learned how to draw curly hair. I didn't think any thing of it until later I glanced at the white board while I was cleaning and saw this:

So cute! At the top she wrote Samantha Dad. She loves her daddy!
